Two new x253 series Aspire notebooks Acer revealed at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, and Pocket-lint is on hand to give you the low-down on the specs and when you can expect to get your hands on them.

The Acer Aspire 5253 and 4253, according to the company, come “, designed for productivity, family entertainment and children education”, and Core is the new E-Series AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) and Engine AMD VISION so that (hopefully) stutter-free HD movies and HD video streaming web. There is also capable of DirectX 11 graphics like on Dell Studio XPS 7100 Gaming Desktop and a decent battery life. The new Aspire format comes in two sizes – 14-inch Aspire 4253 and 15.6-inch Aspire 5253 – Acer CineCrystal with high-resolution LED-backlit displays.

A new element to the Clear.fi laptops, Acer’s new media-sharing system based on the idea that it’s easier if all multimedia content is just in a single system with a common interface. Clear.fi is a cross-platform solution that works right out of the box, automatically detecting the Clear.fi-enabled devices connected to the wireless home network. The press release also states that the laptops are “environmentally aware”, something we very much doubt – although not to adopt “technology, materials and processes that meet current international standards”, whatever that means? The Acer Aspire x253 expected Q2 in the UK, pricing TBA.
